Manage Trash With Trashindicator


Download trashindicator_1.00-1_all.deb from http://code.google.com/p/trashindicator/downloads/list

Open terminal and navigate to Downloads :
cd Downloads
Installation :
sudo dpkg -i trashindicator_1.00-1_all.deb

Trashindicator will be added to the Startup Applications in System Settings.

Restart wingpanel :
killall wingpanel or log out and log in again.

    Hi Eric, I got an dependency error message when installing this (It was looking for python app-indicator?)

    I opened the package trashindicator_1.00-1_all.deb with Archive Manager and looked at the control file : Package trashindicator
    Depends : python (>= 2.3), python-appindicator, hicolor-icon-theme, indicator-application, xdg-utils
    So I guess it's just : sudo apt-get install python-appindicator
